Prayer for the Purification of Spaces

Discipleship in Prayer | Chapter 56

“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22)

Lord Jesus Christ,
You who are everywhere present, who fill all things,
Infinite and All-Good God,
You who took on human form for the salvation of humankind,
You who fashioned humanity in Your image and likeness,

You who willingly endured the Cross
for the renewal and resurrection of Your fallen creation,
You who are the Teacher of the world,
Sweetest Jesus,
You who were sacrificed to raise and Christify mankind—

I come to You at this hour
with deep reverence, love, and adoration.

I beseech You, Lord,
Hear my prayer,
Unite me with Yourself,
And allow me to draw strength from Your Strength,
Grace from Your Grace.

Permit me to wield, with faith and respect,
The Cross of Your Sacrifice
Which I bear on my right side—
As an instrument of Your Light.

Through it,
May all unclean vibrations be driven out of this space.
May any dark or impure presence be dissolved
In the fire of Your divine presence.

Let this place be sanctified.
Let it be filled with Your Peace.
Let it become a dwelling for Your Holy Spirit,
A haven for prayer, love, and healing.

Bless every corner,
Every object,
Every breath that moves within it.
Make it a temple where Your Name is glorified.

Lord,
I thank You,
I praise You,
And I entrust this space to You.

Amen.

  • SELF-RESPECT

Self-respect is a holy function, not a personal virtue. It is the divine gatekeeper that ensures your choices, expressions, and paths remain rooted in your God-origin.

  • On prayer part B

Though He was Divine, Jesus frequently turned to the Father in prayer, not out of need, but as an act of sacred offering and perfect union. This detail is pivotal. It presents prayer not just as a human obligation, but as a divine pattern, showing that even the most realized being used prayer as a channel for divine communication and fulfillment of mission.

  • Material, Emotional, and Intellectual Dependencies

The author teaches that attachment to material things — wealth, possessions, comfort — acts as a heavy chain anchoring the soul to the ground. Yet material attachments are only the beginning. Even more insidious are emotional attachments — our cravings for affection, approval, relationships — which can enslave the soul far more subtly. Finally, intellectual attachments — rigid ideas, personal beliefs, the pride of the mind — become even more dangerous because they disguise themselves as higher values, leading humans to believe their partial truths are universal truths.

  • Pentecost

Chapter 20, titled “Pentecost,” is a deeply spiritual and symbolic exposition of the sacred event known in Christianity as the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. Dionysis Dorizas reinterprets Pentecost not just as a historical commemoration, but as a universal, ongoing, and initiatory event available to every sincere seeker of divine union.
