When a person loves without expectation, without recognition, without possession, they are cleansed of the need to be the center. Love shifts the center from “I” to “We.” And “We” opens into the “Whole.”
Purification as Preparation for Theosis
Spiritual purification is not an end in itself. It is preparation for union. Just as a temple is cleansed before the entrance of the Holy, so the heart is purified before the abiding indwelling of the Divine Logos. Purification is the opening of the inner gate.
It leads:
- from agitation to peace,
- from fragmentation to concentration,
- from self-interest to service,
- from ignorance to luminosity.
Then the human being becomes a bearer of light — not because they claimed it, but because they emptied themselves of darkness.
The Final Sign: Clarity of Conscience
Spiritual purification is not outwardly spectacular.
It has no noise, no display.
Its sign is peace.
Inner purity manifests as:
- simplicity,
- humility,
- truthful speech,
- actions free of self-interest.
The purified person does not advertise their state. They simply radiate.
Spiritual purification is a continuous process of return. It does not end in a single moment. It is a daily practice of transparency, silence, and love. The more a person allows the light to enter, the less darkness remains. And then purification is no longer effort. It becomes a natural state of being within the Light.
