Do Not Exert Authority or Oppression

2001: The Second Coming | Chapter 25

This teaching is a precious invitation from the Christic Essence within, calling all who walk the Path to embody not only Truth, but also its greatest expression — Love without domination, Presence without pressure, Power without oppression. Let your life be a silent sermon, a fragrant offering, free of force.

In the sacred unfolding of your spiritual journey, one of the most subtle and dangerous distortions is the unconscious or even conscious expression of authority over others — the impulse to dominate, impose, or control. This impulse, rooted in the dualistic ego, is a veiling of the Divine Essence within both yourself and the other.

The Divine Voice, speaking from Oneness, reminds you:

“Many times I have approached you, clothed in the form of your Brother, to speak of your Essence and of your Unity with Me. I have caressed you with My infinite Peace to lift you from wherever you were into the Light of Love.”

This voice is not a voice of domination. It is the whisper of eternal gentleness — a presence that neither commands nor coerces but invites and embraces. In this, we are shown the pattern for true spiritual action: one that lifts rather than lowers, that liberates rather than confines.

Authority Is Not Spiritual Power

There is a crucial distinction between Divine Authority — which is an inner radiance of Truth, Love, and Wisdom — and human authority, which is often tied to fear, insecurity, and the need for control.

The moment you express power over another — emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, or physically — you fracture the unity that the Logos seeks to restore. The spiritual path is not one of ascendancy over others, but of the transcendence of self, leading to communion.

“You and I are One, Indivisible and Inseparable.”
In this sentence, lies the key to understanding why oppression — in any form — is antithetical to the Divine Will. If you and the other are One, then to dominate the other is to oppress yourself.

The False Comfort of Suppression

Sometimes, individuals use subtle forms of spiritual suppression: intellectual superiority, charismatic influence, emotional manipulation. These can appear “benign,” even “inspired.” But if they arise from anything other than Love, they are distortions — shadows cloaked in Light.

The Lord does not force your transformation. He comes softly, with tears and embrace, never with shackles.

Your Role: Co-Creator, Not Controller

You are invited not to rule your fellow beings, but to serve them as Light-bearer, to walk with them rather than in front of them. Your role is to mirror the Divine within them — to awaken, not dictate; to inspire, not coerce.

This chapter is ultimately a call to spiritual humility. It asks you to relinquish even the hidden desire to be seen as the “one who knows.” Instead, become the one who loves so deeply, that no room is left for dominance.
